Hello,
I am trying to activate SAC Business content for finance and am following the instructions at https://help.sap.com/viewer/42093f14b43c485fbe3adbbe81eff6c8/release/en-US/53585ce4ac6249afa592d110f...
As per documentation, I created a BW type import connection to S4HANA to enable consumption of CDS query Journal Entry Analyzer (2CCFIGLLITMQ0001) to load the model SAP__FI_GEN_IM_GENERALLEDGER. However, on selecting the query and inputting the variable values, I am left with a query builder screen wherein I cannot drag the dimensions or the measures into the query panel. I cannot expand the folders for dimensions or measures either. Please see attached screenshot. Please advise if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards
Vinayak
Dear Gurus,
I'm trying to consume the standard CDS views based queries in SAC using BW import connection and SAP S4 import connection , however I'm unable to find these queries in both the system.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong here ?
do I need to add the below annotations for CDS views
@Odata.Publish:true
@Analytics.query :true
My question
1.Which system should I use to get these queries ? BW or S4 ? Live or Import ?
2.Do I need to add these annotations mentioned above ?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Regards
-Baseer

Hi Vinayak,
i am also trying to add data to the Model SAP__FI_GEN_IM_GENERALLEDGER.
My SAC doesn´t find the CDS query Journal Entry Analyzer (2CCFIGLLITMQ0001) using the import connection.
Are there any prerequisites i have to do?
I thought the CDS query Journal Entry Analyzer (2CCFIGLLITMQ0001) is not found because there is no generated OData Service. But your question suggests, that it is possible to find the Query.
Thanks for any answers 🙂

Hello Max,
You are right. The CDS view does not have the odata and has to be created. However if you need to consume the Query, 2CCFIGLLITMQ0001 then you have to select the BW connection type while selecting the import connection. Then you should be able to see the 2CC query. You cannot consume it though and it is an issue I have been following up with SAP.

Hi vinayakgole78,
The reason might be because SAP Analytics Cloud only consumes Core Data Services (CDS) Views from S/4HANA with certain attributes, as detailed in the SAP note 2595552.
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2595552
BTW, as you may see in the post below, this is a reported issue:
https://answers.sap.com/questions/12904828/s4hana-cloud-data-to-analytics-cloud-cds-views-in.html
Finally, keep an eye on SAP note 2715030 - Considerations when using SAP BW and SAP S/4HANA Live Connections in SAC
Please kindly advise if SAP note 2595552 addresses your topic and accept the answer.
Cheers,
Luis 🙂

Hello Luis,
Thank you. This has been great information. It seems to be a known issue but what is bothering me is SAP's documentation which mentions CDS views can be consumed as BW queries. I am following up with SAP (long pending issue) and hopefully there should be a resolution soon.
Best regards
Vinayak
