Problem with requests for documents


It defeats the purpose of a forum when people just ask for documents or send documetns to personal IDs in reply to questions. These posts serve no purpose for future visitors. Also, they create a good breeding ground for misuse of the points policy as there is no way to scrutinise these.

Would it be possible to create some sort of central place to share documents etc? Users can then upload documents there and post links in the forum replies.

Size restrictions can be applied in thes case - it would also give users an opportunity to upload screenshots in case the problem is not clear or maybe screenshots of solutions to problems.

    99% of all the documents requested are available either here on SDN or in the SAP Service Marketplace, the problem is that people seem to be rather lazy and choose not to search.

    We can only ASK do not email the documents but rather supply the links!

    • You have a good point Nikhil. On some of these posts I try to reply "Have you searched the SDN library...this is how to search..." don't know if my message really goes through though 😊

      Another thing is copying and pasting huge amounts of text from Help or OSS notes...a link should be enough (I think...)
