Problem to log on into SAC using SAC add-in for Microsoft Office

Hi Experts,

I´m beginner using SAC Planning and I´m not being able to connect to models (create as acquired data) which are hosted in SAC using the new add-in for Microsoft Office 365.

I´ve already installed the add-in locally in my computador (which has Office 365 already installed) and it sounds good.

When a click in the log on button the system ask me to provide my company URL and SAC credentials and after data a new screen appears asking SAP HANA credentials.

What I´m supposed to provide in that screen? I do not use any SAP HANA credentials to log on direct into SAC via browser, so why I have to provide it here using the add-in?

Best Regards,

hi bruno_marcos , from the attached image i can not see whether you use NEO or Cloud Foundry instace of SAC. The HANA logon pops up for NEO instances for which this is not supported. Please refer to our guide:

https://help.sap.com/viewer/4554bec9b964401db071a89f779e8319/cloud/en-US

"Why do I a get a logon to SAP HANA?

When logging on to your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant, you get an SAP HANA dialog to enter your credentials.

Most probably, you're trying to connect to a tenant that is based on SAP Cloud Platform (NEO environment). Please keep in mind that the SAP Analytics Cloud tenants that you use for the add-in must be based on SAP Cloud Platform (Cloud Foundry environment)"

Hi Mark, First of all, thank you for helping me.

Probably you´re right about I´m being using NEO environment.

By the way, where can I check this parametrization (NEO or Foundry) in my SAC, I´d like to be sure about it.

Tks a lot

Hi bruno_marcos, the SAC URL has region characters and number(s) inside. Depending on this you can define which datacenter the SAC system resides. The easiest: if there are two numbers (eu10, ap10, br10...etc) that is a non SAP Datacenter, only one number (ap1, eu1....etc) means its a SAP Datacenter (Neo).

As an example I found these CF endpoints, under technical key you'll see the regions too even though this is an SCP help guide:

May be you are connecting to SAC system with live connection to corporate HANA?

Please provide details.
