system date in ABAP CDS view

Dear Team,

we are trying to fetch the system date through CDS view in hana. which we are able fetch

after fetching the system date , we wanted to retrieve the Month and year from the date.which we are able retrieve if the data type defined as char ,But we are getting some error if data type defined is NUMC .

Aftter Retrieving the year and month from current year,we want to bind the values to the UI controls to in the CDS View.

when I am trying to implement functionality for getting records based on Document date matdoc-bldat

for the previous quarter .

suppose when i am in current quarter 4 - We Need to display 3 Quarter records.

suppose today date is 10/11/2020(mm/dd/yyyy)

Selection screen

Year 2020

Quarter 3

Month 7,8,9

i need to pass to between these dates from 07/01/2020 to 09/30/2020 to field where (matdoc-bldat) and get the records based on this condition.

Please give me any suggestions and inputs on this issue.
