Dear Experts,
I have a phony question: in transaction TREXADMIN, there is a yellow triangle at the rfc_check line under the Alert tab:
OK, it is fine, that it says the reason, but for me, it is ridiculous, because this is a TCP/IP connection, which has a
registered server program under the Technical tab and NOTHING about a user name or password under the Logon & Security tab.
And when checking the RFC in the connectivity tab, it of course comes back with status Green and Error text: No Error.
Our TREX Version is 7.10.80 or 7.10.70.
Could perhaps anyone enlighten me on that ? How could this alert be made green as well ?
Many many thanks in advance!
Yes, an interesting point, but as I briefly said in my first post, I have already tried that.
So, let's take this point apart - under connectivity, there are 3 checks:
- For RFC - here the test connection comes back green
- For ICM - here the test connection comes back green as well
- For TCM - that one doesn't work. But I found yesterday an SAP note, which says, that this is ok, as this is some legacy connection to MaxDB and might only be important, if the DB is MaxDB. In our case, there is Oracle everywhere.
Now it gets more interesting! I know, that we have at least 2 systems, where everything under the Alert tab is completely green. I made all the checks there and it's pretty baffling, but the result is the same !! RFC and ICM connections work, but not the TCM connection !!
So, there must be something else 😕
