Hi,
I have a query related to configurable routings in ECC. We have marked few operations with object dependency in routing (type as selection condition). After receiving the SD order we fix the SD BOM using the CAVC function modules. Post to which we get the allocation of SD order in routings. I could see the actual operations as per configuration assignment planned order and production order.
But in CA03, if we execute with input as Material, Plant, SD order and item details then I could see all the operations with dependencies (like knowledge based). For example I have 10 operations in routing and as per my SD order configuration I have only 5 operations out of it . My expectation is CA03 should show only applicable 5 operations (relevant for SD order configuration) when we execute with sale order as input parameter. I would like to know if it is possible to achieve this or is there any function modules to be used while fixing the bom and routing to achieve this.

balakrishnan.janakiraman,
For checking result of configuration , one should use CU50 to see possible BOM and Routing operations as result of configuration management.
Please try and reply if you need further information.
Thanks

From my experience what you are seeing is completely standard behavior. Using CA03 with a KMAT will show you the "super routing", which as you've indicated is all possible operations. Configurable routings are not displayed the same was as standard materials in CA03. You can use simulation both on the sales line and with transaction CU50 to view the specific routing (5 steps in your example), just make sure you do not save the task list or you will end up with alternate routings.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the reply. Can I know if there is any function module or Bapi to provide the result oriented configuration of the routing (Actual operations as per configuration) ? I Checked the FMs like CUPL_CONFIGURE_ROUTING it shows the knowledge based configuration routing with all operations. Do we have any options here

Hello balakrishnan.janakiraman , there are no standard FM or Bapi's. If you are wanting to pull that information from a sales order (with fully configured material) or from a material variant (configuration saved and linked to a standard material) you will need to write your own report.
Otherwise as I said above you can get the information from doing a simulation or there are several ways to view the information from a configured material on a sales line. 1) On an order click Item Details: Configuration > Result > Task List OR 2) double click into the sales line Schedule Lines > Production Order > Operations Overview.
