Hi,
I am not able to create new application in API developer portal for the API which was created in SAP API Management.
This is trial account and subscribed from Integration Suite.
I can see the necessary role assignments AuthGroup.API.Admin, AuthGroup.API.ApplicationDeveloper in Cockpit,
and also I registered user in Developer portal as Administrator, Developer.
But still I am getting same error. Please help.
Use the functionality "Create this application on behalf of someone else" and select your (or another user) for this application.
This is a known issue and I guess, will be fixed in the future *hope so*

I saw the same issue in the past and I can confirm that your workaround works. The real problem is that you probably assigned the roles "incorrectly". I don't remember the full fix but it helped when we removed all roles but one admin role from the user and used the Developer Portal to assign the other roles to our user.
Then, you are able to create apps on your own behalf.
Update June -2021: I had this issue in a productive account, I can confirm that you still need this workaround. 😮
We do write 2023 February. Ukrainian war is 1 year old. War on malfunctioning SAP API Portal is 3 years old. I also can not create an application. I am asking quite some friends who have their hands-on-experience with Integration-Suite-Trial which also fail. So this is more like a massive fail and it discourages me to advise my clients to use API-Portal due to meangless without API keys. Specific with me: I do have only a "P-User".
Please somebody from SAP Olymp: Descend and take care! Do not forget me! Do not forget us!
Regards!

I am facing the same issue. Unfortunately the workaround does also not work for me. Regardless of me entering my "real" user or another P-User I always get the error:
while trying to invoke the method java.lang.Object.getClass() of a null object loaded from local variable 'model' RequestId - b513562e-ecba-4601-a100-f9fcfe67963b

Hi,
I was having this issue too and I followed rahulbhat2000's guidance and I could created the application! it's how to enable your Application Developer role! it needs to be done via the API Business Hub Enterprise portal, not via the BTP Cockpit. Additionally, delete the API Guest role in the BTP Cockpit if you added it before, with this role it wont let you create the application either.
