Hello experts,

I want to increase the parameter enque/table_size in order to solve a system lock error, I used the tcode RZ10 but i got this error message « Operation is not permitted for ASCS profile. Message no. PF251 ».

Am I using the wrong tcode, in this case how can i increase the parameter enque/table_size.

Thanks in advance .

Sabrine

Hi Sabrine,

Please check SAP note 2514068 which talks about implementation of note "2789094 - Maintaining ASCS profiles using RZ10" in the system for us to enable modification of ASCS profile.

In my landscape, I have found this parameter to be maintained in ERS profile as seen below.

hostname:sidadm> more <SID>_ERS71_ers<sid> | grep -i enque/table_size enque/table_size=204800

Please restart all the cluster and application resources after changing the parameter for it to take effect.

Hi Sabrine,
Are you using ASCS, that contains the Message Server and Enqueue server?
In that case, it's not possible to edit ASCS profile via ABAP tools.

If you want to increase table Enqueue size (by parameter 'enque/table_size'), parameter should be increased on the profile where the Enqueue Server is defined. Restart is needed so that change takes effect. See also Note 1565578 - Lock Table Overflow (S-user needed).
When running Standalone Enqueue Server, enque/table_size value shown on RSPARAM or RZ11 should not be taken into account.
