Hi,

some of my users appear in SM04 with lots of pending HTTPS sessions with "R=3 P=/sap/bc/ui2/start_up" (Application info.). They are using FLP

it can be several weeks old.

I can't reproduce this issue by myself.

environment : S/4HANA 1809 FPS01, SAPUI5 1.60.11, SAP_UI 753SP02

any idea?

thanks for your help.

Thierry

Hi aesth67,

After investigating, I've identified two potential scenarios.

A. External alias definition

SAP Note 2637298 - Failure to load groups on Fiori Launchpad - getGroups failed error

Addtional documentation

https://help.sap.com/viewer/753088fc00704d0a80e7fbd6803c8adb/7.5.11/en-US/48cf0857658037e3e10000000a...

https://help.sap.com/doc/saphelp_uiaddon20/2.05/en-US/c9/44dc71fc7d49b4a1239a4231563c80/frameset.htm

B. Kernel bug

SAP 2419894 - "Unable to load groups" on Fiori Launchpad: /sap/bc/ui2/start_up requests returned with HTTP 500

I do not believe this second scenario "B" applies to your landscape.

But I'd rather share so you can also check on that.

Should this address your topic, please kindly upvote the answer.

Cheers,

Luis

Hi,

actually there are only 2 users who generate these "ghost" sessions.

they are neither closing their browser windows nor stopping their PC.

anyway SAP should manage the timeout and close sessions.

there is a webdispatcher (embedded in ASCS) in front of the S/4HANA system, both running on the same server.

there are timeout/keepalive parameters on WD and ICM. Maybe a misconfiguration there.

any clue?
