When I'm creating a SO or PO(STO) with the material in AP02 plant I'm getting the error Material TEST MATERIAL2 not found in plant AP02,though it is a warning message and system allow to create SO as well as PO. In sales order Schedule line line tab quantity is not confirm and PO getting with same error and when I'm trying to create delivery with reference to PO ,i found that in delivery there is no quantity available. I have done all possible assignment. & also maintain the material in the respective plant. I have check all the tables such as t001w,t001k,t001l.Also i have checked the below assignment.

1. Plant assign to cocode

2.assignment with shipping point in enterprise structure & LE.

3.Maintain the plant in plant maintenance.

4.And in MM under Inventory management & Physical inventory i also maintain plant parameter.

Anyone please guide me.

As a starting point - you have to find the exact error message (message class and number).

After you find the message class and number you can do a few things by yourself:

1. Try where-used list from SE91 to see where this message is raised (do not forget to read the long text is it exists).

2. Search notes in the support portal for this message as criterion.Of course, if this is a custom message - class starting with Z* or Y* or number in the range of 900-999 - instead of the support portal you look for the available project documentation for your system.

3. If no suitable notes are found in the support portal and if this is not a custom message - search in Google by using the message class and number.

4. If still no luck (no relevant notes, nothing useful in the project documentation, where-used does not produce suitable results) - debug.

By the way, you can use this approach for any message that you encounter in the backend 🙂
