Phantom Items (ie Kits) to Production Order, With Reference

Hi All,

I am hoping someone can offer me a solution to this. We are using SAPB1 for production, generally its good. The main issue I would like to solve is that for phantom items (ie kits of parts) I want to somehow tie the kit reference to the production order.

Why? Because if I have two kits, but they both contain some of the same items, its not clear which items are for which part. I can add UDF's etc as needed, but is there any good way of doing this?

(PS we use the procurement wizard to make production orders mostly).

Would you like to consider creating the final item as stock item, instead of phantom item?

As with phantom item you cannot do much because of its limitation.

Thanks.

Hi!

We can’t us that, as the item isn’t a stock item. It is an assembly kit. So it can’t work this way. We need to explode it with a parent onto the BOM, with a reference and we can’t do that if it’s a stock item.
