I have set up a decentralized warehouse. Inbound and Outbound confirmations (IDOCs SHP_IBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL and SHP_OBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL) are done with handling units.
Quite often there is a business case:
1. A goods receipt for HU1 is confirmed to inbound delivery.
2. The HU1 is repacked to HU2 in the decentralized WMS of the logistics provider - this is NOT synchronized back to the central system SAP ERP.
3. A goods issue for HU2 is confirmed to outbound delivery.
4. As a result, the HU1 stays "forever" in the central system and shows in MMBE / keeps serial number assignment / etc., although it does not exist in the decentralized WMS anymore. It is not possible to delete the HU manually (e.g. in HUMO) as it is decentralized-relevant.
What is your experience and recommendation on this?
