How to divide (classify ) users by department from ume directory

Hello

I have a current need to divide a number of employees (portal users) into different groups by their department property. In order to achieve this, I have created a taxonomy, where I use Queries to divide the users into the correct groups. But if this Query-based taxonomy have to work, I have to enable the properties-service, which cannot be done on the ume-repository - or can it?

So I have to manually copy all users into a folder in the documents-repository, and run the taxonomy from there, but then the users in the taxonomy are not automatically updated whenever new users are added or existing users are changed! The updated data will then only be shown through a search in the (reindexed) UME-index.

Is there a way to overcome this problem with duplicates of the UME-content and still being able to use a taxonomy?

Any help will be rewarded.

Regards,

Martin

Martin,

I'm facing the same problem.

Did you found a solution ?

P.S. to prevent the manual copy, you could use ICE.

Kind regards
