BPC Embedded writing to ACDOCP - KEDR Derivations not working

Hello Experts,

I'm planning in BPC 10.1 Embedded using query "Plan Cost Center on periods" in Analysis for Office (S4Hana On premise), data is being created in ACDOCP but my KEDR derivation rules are not working when I plan using BPC. KEDR only works for planning when I upload it using app "Import Financial Plan Data".

I don't know if this is the reason, but PAOBJNR is not in ACDOCP, I tried to add it using tcode FCOM_MET, but system is not allowing me to make this change.

Does anyone knows how to make KEDR derivations work for BPC planning?

kind regards

Mayumi

Hi Mayumi,

BPC Embedded uses BW-IP technology, derivation is based on characteristic relationships. This is BW-IP infrastructure and characteristic relationships are usually defined by customers (e.g. in transaction RSPLAN) per basis planning InfoProvider. But applications based on this technology can also ship characteristic relationships, this seems to be the case here.

You can check the active characteristic relationships used in your basic planning provider in transaction RSPLAN, e.g. for InfoProvider /ERP/SFIN_V20. But this provider is owned by BW an the relations are relevant only for this InfoProvider. But you are talking about ACDOCP, here it seems that the virtual provider /ERP/SFIN_V20 is used.

The derivation sources are characteristics used in the aggregation level (/ERP/SFIN_A01 in your case?) and the targets not in the aggregation level. So you have to check whether you find relations that can fill your target fields based on characteristics in the aggregation level.

Gregor

Thanks a lot Gregor, I will check the settings in RSPLAN.
