Refurb process with or without Serial numbers

Gone through many blogs and questions and answers but I am not clear.

The question is Can I go for Refurbishment process for equipment with out Serial numbers.(We have 3 valuation types New, Defective and Refurbished). If it is possible how can I integrate equipment and material just for Refurb purpus. By adopting the 'construction type'... is the integration complete. We just want to have this refurbishment process for very few materials with out much complications.

If you dont use serial numbers then there is no direct link between the material/equipment on the refurbishment order header.

However, you could enter the material in the refurbishment order header, then enter the equipment in the Object List tab. But remember that there is no "hard link" between these two obejcts.

The construction type has no bearing on the refurbishment order type.
