Dear All,
Hope you all doing well under the current situation.
We plan to migrate SAP Business Objects apps from an in-house hosted to an AWS with RDS for Oracle and retrieve data for our reports.
Have you ever done that?
What are the potential challenges or concern?
Could you please help with the required steps to migrate?
Thanks and regards,
Understood. We will think about other options, then....

Hi,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
We are going to use BOBI 4.2.
Is it compatible with RDS for Oracle on AWS?

Hi,
You need to start with deciding which SAP Business Objects version you would want to use on the AWS and then checking the compatibility of the same with your version of Oracle Database in the PAM guide at
https://support.sap.com/en/release-upgrade-maintenance.html#section_1969201630
Next, you would need to install the product on AWS and then migrate using the migration tools available according to your versions.
In case you are using BI 4.x, you can refer the pattern book for Promotion Management below :

Sharvari
