I am using charm and when a mortal change to set to status "Read to test" TOC of the original un-released transport is getting generated and moved into the QAS system automatically.
I am trying to understand how this import is triggered because I need to modify the variant for the TOC import I need to set unconditional mode like " Overwrite Originals" which is needed especially for BW transports.
has anyone encountered similar issue with TOC ?

ToC transports are imported via action COPY_ALL_ENH. For default change doc type (SMMJ) this is assigned to user status E0004. You can check this via SM34 -> AIC_SETTINGS -> Assign Actions.
You can also select "Transport of Copy Only" option when using import via the task list and then adjust the import options from there. However, this is a one-time only import (cannont schedule to run mulitple times).
I've also found that ToC are imported regardless of import strategy. See OSS note 2408664.

Dear Srini,
Please have a look at note 2668781 How to prevent auto-import of ToC in ChaRM?

Hello,
If you use the COPY_ALL_ENH process, the action that sends the change document into "To be tested" status will trigger the release and import of the transport of copies , without a job that you can modify for options.
If you use COPY_ALL instead, which is the old process of Solution Manager 7.1 and 7.2 up to SP05 or so, you will need to schedule an import job for the transport of copies . In this task list import job, you can select the TMS options you want.

Hello Srini,
By default, ChaRM uses the action COPY_ALL_ENH to import the ToC automatically which doesn't allow to use the option Overwrite Originals in standard. In this case there are two options:
1. Use the old COPY_ALL action, this way ToC is not imported automatically and when importing ToC through the task list you can select the “Overwrite Originals” option. Also, if you need the import job can be scheduled to run periodically.
2668781 - How to prevent auto-import of ToC in ChaRM?
2471478 - How to configure periodic import jobs in Change Request Management for version 7.20 and later
2. Create your own COPY_ALL_ENH action enhancement that has the option 'overwrite originals' built in. For this, you can use BAdIs in SPRO activity:
SAP Solution Manager
> Capabilities (Optional)
> Change Control Management
> Change Request Management Framework
> Actions in Change Request Management
> BAdI: Implement Actions in Change Request Management

Dear Srini,
A simple navigation path would be, from your respective change document , either from More --> tasklist or even in related transaction there would be a tasklist hyperlink. Click on that and when the tasklist opens, expand the respective target system where TOC is to be moved.
A task with an execute sign - schedule import job is present. Click on execute and in the popup that appears, at the bottom you see same options as that of STMS. Here you have the possibility of selecting desired transport sections and saving it as an import job.

Shabnam,
Thank you for your answer.
TOC is imported in solman7.2 >sp5 without an import job and the import process is using some simple mode.
The TOC import is status dependent and not on scheduled import job. I believe that It is performed by the action COPY_ALL_ENH.
I need to be able to import TOC using modes like "Overwrite Originals" that is my requirement.
I not finding the options to control the TOC import.

You can find the import toc jobs in the change control admin cockpit , the last tab is scheduled import jobs ... there you can find the current schedule jobs and variants ... it that your question?
