Different spec in COA

Dear Gurus,

Let say i have created MIC with range 100-200 for spec and i create an inspection lot in sap. Then during the COA printing is it possible if the COA appear with other spec for that insp lot? Example insp lot with MIC 100 for spec was created but in COA i need to show other spec for example 200 for that insp lot.. Is it possible to do that?

Complicated question. Short answer is no. Spec's either come from what is in the inspection lot, or if you use batch management and classification the spec value from the batch classification.

Long answer.. one way I've approached this is to create batch search strategies. These can be created at multiple levels. Material level. Plant level, customer level, etc... But it then requires you create FM's to use with your COA profiles, The FM is configured as a new choice for "specs origin" in the COA profile. The FM then works through your batch search strategy condition tables to identify the proper spec to print.

Another option is to create two different MIC with optional indicator checked in the control indicators with the same description and assign to the required CoA Profile. In the inspection plan assign both MIC and in the inspection lot record the MIC result for the required specification. When you generate the CoA it will print as needed. If you have two different customer or specification requirement on CoA then record the result for both MIC and have a different profile or have same profile with different version. It should resolve your problem.

You can get the Specs from Material Classification too

You will need to add the char. in a material class and assign it to the material master with the required value you want to display

In certificate profile, pull the specification value from the material class

However, you did not mention why would you want to have a different specification on the CoA as compared to what you are analyzing against. This would be more helpful to give a better answer.

You can also create a custom FM, assign it to the Cert prof and use it
