SAP Business One’s Integration Hub - Shopify (SAP B1 10.2 HANA) - Incorrect tax

Hello.

In our company, we integrate B1 10.2 HANA with SAP Integration Hub - Shopify (PL39). I am trying to set up the sync mechanism Shopify – SAP B1, but the tax is not being calculated correctly. In Poland, the default tax is 23%, but there are also other rates 5% and 8%. I have products with each of these taxes. I have tried various configurations but in summary it does not show me the correct tax value. Is it possible to set up the system correctly for several tax rates? In the manual (also in the videos), the tax is set as exempt. In my case it is not correct.

Sales order example:
Total price (includes tax) - 10,50 zł
Tax (5%) - 0,50 zł
Delivery (in Polish "Koszty transportu") - 0 zł
Shopify Order- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UWx_UgMGLs-cGEb1hferJ77SFKN3og8x/view

SAP Order - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lDsvMy5znsteq8i-xBRk9FX7bsnt_0Qs/view

Any idea?

Additionally I haven’t found out if I can add my own field mapping. I want to map the “Vendor” field from Shopify with the “Manufacturer” field in B1.

I have also not found a solution for VAT synchronization (other than the default one). The default VAT rate is 23% but I also have 5% and 8% VAT. Do you have some solutions to my “problems”?

Best regards
Piotr Jurkowski

Hello,

As per the sap documentation, the SAP Business One integration hub fulled supported for Germany, UK, and USA localization.

For non-localized version, it is recommended to do thorough testing before rolling out.

Since Item master is bidirectional sync, you may try to set the default tax code and see if that works out.

Otherwise you need to get help from partner with SAP support to find suitable solutions.

Update us on your progress.

Thanks.

If I uncheck VAT Exempt in Shopify Settings

SAP takes correct Tax Code from Item Master Data (only Tax Code is correct, amount isn't)
v1 Shopify (correct tax) 5%

v2 Shopify (incorrect tax) 23%

The gross / net price mode is important, but tax from Shopify always goes to freight.

Hello Pankaj Sharma.
If I set up in SAP - Shopify Settings Excempt VAT Group (Sales) as Excempt ("VAT zwolniony" / Tax Code "Fzw") I have full automated process (sales order and A/R Reserve Invoice), but without Tax and with Freight. This is nonsens.
The correct tax for this product is 5%, but for test I changed (in Shopify) it to default 23%.

Hi Jurkowski,

While integrating the Order transactions from Shopify to SAP Business One, the Order tax amount is captured in the default freight mapped in the Shopify General Setting.

For more details on Shopify Tax handling, Please refer to the "7.4.5 Tax Handling" section in the Integration Hub Guide.

As seen in your screenshots, the Discount% field in SAP B1 has values, however, the Shopify Order has no discounts. Please ensure your "Tax Inclusive Item Prices" setting is correct in the Shopify General Setting.

Currently, the Integration HUB solution does not allow you to change the mapping, Hence you can not map the values as per your requirement.

Please note the SAP Business One Integration Hub can be used in other non-localized countries as well. For details on this, you may refer to the SAP Note - 2844963.

Thanks,

Hello.
We are working on this together with a SAP Partner. We don't think the location is wrong. Germany has very similar taxes. Our tests show that the mapping is wrong. The tax amount is added to the shipping cost (always). Even when the order has no shipping. Do you know someone who has a good working HUB (integration SAP B1 with Shopify)?
