Profit center to Company code assignments

I have 5 company codes under a controlling area

If 3 of them are assigned to a profit center and 2 are not assigned, in this case, I can find assigned company codes in the table cepc_bukrs.

In case if all the 5 company codes are assigned to the profit center, then there will be no data in cepc_bukrs.

Is there a table that stores data in case all the company codes of a controlling area are assigned to a profit center.

Or, if someone ever wrote logic to see if the company code is assigned to a profit center( incase all the company codes of its controlling area are assigned to a profit center, then you cannot use cepc_bukrs table).

I have gone through previous threads on profit center/company code assignment and data not being in CEPC_BUKRS, but none of them talk about how to see if the company code is assigned to profit center, if it does not exist in cepc_bukrs if all company codes of controlling area are assigned to a profit center

Not my area of expertise, but I think that you can take a look at how the logic is implemented in FM READ_PROFITCENTER_BUKRS_JV.

The FM is not released, but at least it can give you an idea how SAP determines the assignment.

    Hello sriharsha parayatham

If the profit center is assigned to all the company codes of controlling area, it would not appear in CEPC_BUKRS. You will get the values of all profit centers in a controlling area from CEPC by passing the value of Controlling area (KOKRS).

You might want to check the below FM, if you can use it to get the desired values

    KE_PROFIT_CENTER_CHECK

    Look also at FM GET_PRCTR_BUKRS_FROM_KOKRS

    • It read all profit centers from table CEPC, all company codes from TKA02 and then all profit centers restricted to one or more company codes from CEPC_BUKRS.
    • For each profit center (read from CEPC) not restricted to some company codes (not found in CEPC_BUKRS) it add virtual records (simulate CEPC_BUKRS records) with this profit center and every company code of the controling area.
