SAP HANA based analytics in MDG 8.0 for Change Request Analytics based on Workflow Workitems

This is with reference to 'Technical Pre-requisites' in this document - section 5.2

I am using MDG 8.0 with SAP HANA database. Data Objects are centrally governed using NWBC.

Fiori is NOT in use currently.

We want to enable Reporting of MDG Change Request based on Workflow Workitems, Data Objects and Change Documents.

My Questions are:

1. Can we enable and run these reports without Fiori ?

2. Is SAP Smart Business is mandatory required to access the SAP HANA based analytical reports ? If yes, then can we access SAP Smart Business functionalities using NWBC ?
