Tax service for tax determination

I have been asked by my customer to use SAP tax service for tax calculation instead of tax calculation procedure.

I have heard this for first time. Does anyone know what exactly the tax service is and how does it work?

Hello pardo1981

The Tax service is a cloud based API, you can call to your ERP or S/4HANA System. It already has pre delivered content for tax rate and expect some inputs like tax event to return the tax rate. You can find more details and the countries covered on the link below:
