Extended notification - Email content truncated outside of SAP

Hello SAP community,

We would like to use extended notification to validate WF items.

Program SWN_SELSEN is generating email notification with approval/refusal link (validation in BSP page).

In SOST, email format is good, links are working properly -> everything is fine.

Outside of SAP in Outlook, email is truncated and we only have few details.

Any ideas of what could cause this issue?

I have used mail notifications from workflow or custom programs with links, html tables, attached documents etc. and usually the mail as is it seen in SOST it is sent to the exchange server in the same way.

It seems that the only missing data are the links. The outlook however has same limitations on the html tags that can be displayed and sometimes even a small added character can have an effect on the display. try saving a local copy of the e-mail and then opening it using notepad or some other program that will display the raw data. can you see the links?

How about using the extended notifcations option to send an attachment calling the workitem in SAP business workplace instead of the links? This usually works better and has no SSO problems.

I will recommend you then to use Standard Function Module or Class. There might be some limitation

Hello Arghadip,

Title in Outlook and in SOST is correct, issue is only in body section.

I'm using std email component in the workflow so send this email.

Do you know if there is some limitations compare to CL_BCS?
