Hi Experts,

We are seeing high archive generation for this month generated by SAP MII in oracle tables as compare to previous months. Can you please let me know what are factors in MII that can cause this issue as far as we have checked for schdular are running fine and also we have checked there is nothing long pending activity in transaction manager that can cause this issue generating this much of logs.

Can you please suggest what other options can be checked from MII end.

Regards,

Ankit Gupta

Hi Ankit,

Are the Oracle database tables the system tables installed with MII or a standalone database which MII is using for local data retention?

I would first check with the DBAs to see what kinds of records are being archived. Check the log levels (should be On Error or None) for your scheduled jobs. Check your data retention periods in the system configuration. May even want to look at the sessions active in NW to see if there is anything unusual there. Your question does not provide my insight into the problem. Please share a bit more about the environment including the versions and what MII is doing for you. Are you doing a lot of IDoc processing? Systematic updates to something like Material Masters can generate a lot of downloads. Depending on your fiscal year or engineering changes, there may be other significant changes to Orders, Recipes, BOMs, Routings, etc. causing large quantities of IDocs to be generated. Might want to take a look at SM59 on the ECC side.
