Enhance Purchase order release T code ME28

Hello SAP Colleague,

This is my first question in SAP community. So far I got most of related topic without raising additional question in community. Hope i will get some view from experts

Scenario –

We have release strategies defined which include multiple plants. In our business, we have different authorize person to release PO per plant. In standard Transaction ME28, when authorize person run transaction to release PO, he/she can able to find all the PO’s created under particular release strategy within different Plant (SAP Standard)

Through authorization role assignment, we still manage to restrict other person to approve PO for other plant than his / her responsibility, but there is a catch if one person has authorization to release PO under Plant A, and if same person has authorization role assign to create or edit PO (ME21N/ME22N) for Plant B & C, then he / she can still able to release PO for plant B & C even he / she did not have PO release role assigned to their user ID.

We want to do some kind of enhancement, where we can read the authorization role provided to user at plant level and only display the PO that he / she is responsible to release. Did anyone had similar kind of scenario in their business? Can someone share there thought on this? or any other approach to resolve situation would be welcome.

Note –

• 1.Since we have lots of plant in our business, creating release code per plant is not acceptable.

• 2.Develop new Z transaction is a last option for us
