Report-Report Interface for (RRI) depict sole (selected) Keyfigure

rri.pngHello Experts,

Trust you are doing well and safe during these testing times.

I look forward to interacting and explore different ways to find a suitable solution for my current challenge. I will try to provide all details regarding my question, so please ask for second-helping if I am not precise enough. Points will be rewarded.
Challenge:

I have an existing (basic) report that depicts values for various key figures.
My challenge is to create a target report that contains all attributes for a selected key figure next to the selected key figure;
We all know that a Report-Report-Interfacing uses Jump Targets that are created using the transaction code RSBBS. But in this transaction I can only assign attributes, not the Keyfigures.

Unfortunately i am unable to assign a keyfigure for the target report.
How can I restrict to the selected key figure initial when jumping to the target report?
Let’s assume all Attributes are fix.

Can I solve this using a dynamic BAdi (e.g. ESM_BBS_BADI_DYNAMIC or RS_BBS_BADI) to depict that selected Keyfigure.

Best Regards,

Daniel v. Stülpnagel

    Hi Daniel,

If your Keyfigure is of type Currency/Unit then send that value to Target report or Associate a characterstic to your Key Figure, meaning create a dummy characterstic and populate the value with Key figure1 when your loading data. So all of your keyfigures are now can be distingushed by characterstics and can acheive RRI.

And target report can also be dynamic by creating a Calculated key figures.

    Try and let us know.

    • Hi Andrew,

thank you very much for your response!

The current implementation is based on a key figure model with a report-report interface (RRI), where all attributes are transferred 1:1. For target reports, a function is to be implemented, according to which an initially selected key figure is analyzed.

Since no key figures can be transferred via an RRI, the challenge is to transfer a pre-selected key figure to the jump target.

Our "workaround" was to create a dynamic key figure structure using a variable created on the standard InfoObject '1Member'.

The class created in the enhancement spot RSROA_VARIABLES_EXIT for the variable 1Member did not bring the desired result because the input window was not opened initially in the target report after the jump (even with i_step = 2). Thus, a user could not select the relevant key figure for his analysis.

Due to complex correlations with used key figures, which are also used in planning functions, for example, I would like to avoid transferring the key figure model into an account model.

Can I solve this by using a dynamic BAdi (e.g. ESM_BBS_BADI_DYNAMIC or RS_BBS_BADI) to display this selected key figure?
Please ask for a second-helping if needed.
      Kind regards!

    Hi Andrew,

thank you very much for your response.

At the moment I am not working with an account model but with a key figure model with a fixed key figure structure. A key figure model was used because of the high number of key figures and the amount of changes required for e.g. planning functions

I have not been able to use the key figure model to restrict myself to specific key figures.

Hence the question about the BAdi.

Am I right in assuming that you have proposed a key figure model?

    Kind regards!!
    Daniel
