Analysis for Office port issue while connecting through BILaunchpad

Hello Gurus,

Our environment :

BI4.2 Sp08 patch 1

Tomcat 9

SAP BW 7.5

AO 2.7

We have issue where AO workbooks launched from BOBJ BILaunchpad is not connecting with SAP System to port **40 (gatewayport) and instead it is calling default port 3340 which is blocked on firewall and cannot be opened for client communication.

Due to infosec requirement, SAP gateway port is set to **40 and is opened on firewall and can be telnet from client machine.

Secure port **40 is open in firewall and I can telnet from clinet machine

Port 3340 is blocked, but somehow AO is taking port 3340 and we are not able to connect.

We have already configured below entries in services file on bobj server and client machines.

sapms*** **41/tcp ( this is for message server ) *** is the sid of bw system which I masked it with *

sapgw40s **40/tcp (this is for gateway server) ** is the secure port number

(tried gw entry of sapgw** **40/tcp but still it route to 3340)

We need to know from where AO calls the port 3340, is there any RFC which is been called and need to be mapped with port **40.

Need to know how AO connects to BW when lauchched through BIlaunchpad and used BICS connection and which RFC will be used so Basis team can add it in their SAP gateway settings.
