2 Factor Authentication

Hi,

Our environment consists of Fiori and ECC. Currently, SAML is in place and wanted to add additional security by receiving SMS to a mobile device( 2factor authentication). As per SAP help site, we can achieve with SAP SSO 3.0 and SAP Authentication app. it also mentioned about SMS to a mobile device but i couldn't get a clear picture on what needs to be done for SMS to a mobile device. All it says about netweaver JAVA and I need for ABAP system..

1. Is Netweaver JAVA is requirement to deploy SAP SSO 3.0? If yes, JAVA acts a front end system and then connects to Fiori ABAP?

It would be great, If anyone can help finding the exact documentation as per my requirement.
