Upload a file to DMS Server and Retrieve the same

Hello,

I had Created an Editable ALV report, in this for every single record I have the requirement of uploading a PDF file into DMS server from my local PC and I need to retrieve the same file and download the pdf file when needed.

I first created two fields 1st for Uploading a file and 2nd for downloading a file and using FM : F4_FILENAME for getting the path ....

please help in resolving this...

What is a "DMS server"? To what SAP business object (or something else) should the "DMS ID" of this file be attached?

DMS Server is similar to Al11 (application server)...

apart from server ... my final requirement is to upload(attach) a pdf file and download same in alv report

requirement can be achieved in any way...

please suggest .

If by "similar to AL11", you mean a repository of files with no special feature, then I'd say that your "DMS server" is more like a Content Management System, but I don't know if this system has an interface compatible with SAP, or if you need to access it in a custom way. What is your Content Management System, can you access documents via standard SAP transactions currently/is a "content repository" customized in transaction OAC0?
