Hello Experts,

Can u pls give details related to Lead transfer from SMC to C4C? As you know there is a Lead Transfer app in SMC. What are the details that are passed to C4C?

Hi Sahi,

using the Transfer Leads app there are different things that are handed over to C4C:

1. Concerning the Campaign/Lead Transfer itself:

a. The Name of the Lead Transfer will become the name of every lead that is created.

b. The Description will become the description/note in the leads.

c. The Start and End Date will become also Start and End Date in Sales Cloud.

d. The Interests will become the product descriptions in Sales Cloud in the lead. But of course you can also map it to another (e.g. a custom field) like "is interested in" or something like that.

2. Concerning the Target Group.

Every Contact in the assigned Target Group from SAP Marketing Cloud will be the contact person in the Lead. If the Contact is assigned to an Account it will become a B2B lead. If the Contact has no Account assigned, it will become a B2C lead, so you cannot convert it into Contact and Account in Sales Cloud but in an Individual Customer.

If you don't want to have Individual Customers but the Contact has no real Account assigned yet, you have to fill the CorporateAccountName for the Contact and the zip code. Then it will also create a B2B lead in Sales Cloud with the Account name as a free text.

In addition to that: If you create your leads based on a trigger-based campaign you can also hand over a Leadscore and the previous interaction that was the trigger of the creation (Predecessor Interaction).

Hope that clarifies a little bit. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks Tobias for the reply. Do we need to map anything in CPI or will CPI manage using standard functionality?

Hi sahi.aliminvr,

the scenario I described before is covered by standard integration.

Only if you need another mapping (e.g. for the interests) you have to adapt CPI.

For things like Leadscore or Predecessor Interaction you have to create custom fields in Sales Cloud and map the fields then.

If you have any problems let me know, maybe I could help.

Thanks for the reply Tobias. One question, there is possibility to load interactions as Marketing Leads (IA_Type = MARKETING_LEAD) using CSV load into SMC, once we nurture them can we pass those leads to C4C Sales?

Hi Sahi, it should be possible to load those interactions of type MARKETING_LEAD via CSV into SMC. But then an interaction of type "Lead" is already created. Why would you do this if you would like to hand them over at a later point in time?

In your case, if you first want to nurture them I would maybe choose another interaction type (depending on the use case you have). For example if you get "Leads" from an external provider, you could create your own interaction type Z_EXTERNAL_LEAD or something like that. The Interaction of type MARKETING_LEAD is created anyway at the point you transfer it to Sales Cloud. But with your own interaction type you could differentiate the real Lead from the imported one.

Thanks Tobias for the reply. Ok if we follow you approach of creating a new Interaction Type and create them using CSV file. Will it be possible to transfer the "Z_EXTERNAL_LEAD" into Sales could using transfer app, if so how? because as per your previous reply we need to assign the target group which will be contact/ account in the lead based on B2C or B2B scenario. How can we assign the interactions in "Transfer Lead app", am I missing something?

Hi sahi.aliminvr,

you can either use a trigger-based campaign instead and use your Z_EXTERNAL_LEAD as a trigger. In this case after the import of the interaction the contact will automatically get created in SAP Sales Cloud.

Or you have to create a target group in Segmentation (based on the Segmentation Profile you need, e.g. All Contacts) and use the attribute "InteractionType" and select all of your contacts that have an interaction of that type.

Hope that helps

Thanks Tobias for the reply. I think I got what exactly you are trying to say.

One Clarifiaction: As per your reply "you can either use a trigger-based campaign instead and use your Z_EXTERNAL_LEAD as a trigger" can u pls eloborate on this point?

Hi sahi.aliminvr,

sure:

In SAP Marketing Cloud you can create a so called Trigger-Based Campaign.

Using the Manage Your Solution app under "Configure Your Solution" you have the possibility to activate any Interaction Type as Campaign Trigger. Here you can also add/activate your own interaction type Z_EXTERNAL_LEAD as a Campaign Trigger.

After that, in your Trigger-Based Campaign you can choose this trigger and add the creation of a lead as the Campaign Action.

After that you import the interactions of your interaction type.

Every minute there's a job running in the background that listens to new interactions of that type you chose in your campaign and executes the campaign action. Then the iFlow is triggered and the lead is created in Sales Cloud.

Hope that makes it a little bit clearer.
