CSV File Upload - Interaction Contacts

Hello Experts,

I want to upload employees/vendors from C4C/ECC using CSV file ( Data file upload app) as interaction contacts. When I see the interaction types I dont see any IA_Type as "Contacts" in the system to upload contacts using interaction template, do I need to configure a new interaction type or do I need to use account/contact upload file for loading the interaction contacts. I've downloaded the standard contact, account and interaction upload file from SAP help. In the account/ contact upload file I dont see any IC_Type as field in the templates. Can you pls help me answer which template I've use and which field is IC_Type.

Hi Venu,

in your case I think you should use the template for Corporate Accounts. The interaction template is to upload interactions like sales orders, website visits and so on.

You don't need to use the IC_TYPE because this is defined by choosing Contacts or Accounts as a template. IC_TYPE is only needed if you upload Interaction Contacts via OData to specify if it is an Company or a Person that you upload.

If you want to mark the accounts as vendors you can maybe create a custom field an use this one in the CSV template.
