Hi All,
What happens to web service messages when C4C is down, meaning during quarterly release or regular maitenance windows?
Example:
1. If the integration between S/4HANA and C4C is setup, what happens if a BP is created in S4, does the message flow to C4C or does it get stuck in CPI?
2. If the email channel is configured for incoming emails to get created as tickets, what happens to incoming emails if C4C is down?

Hi,
In case, C4C is down for maintenance or upgrade then those messages will not be accepted by C4C endpoints and in the middleware(Like CPI) you should get an HTTP 500 or HTTP 404 error. You need to reprocess those messages from source system or middleware once C4C is up again.
In case of email, I am not sure how the system behaviour is, but based on my understanding from system, those messages will be stored in email exchange server and exchnge will try to deliver them again afeter a certain duration. But for confirmation about this behaviour, please check with SAP support.
