API Gateway and ServiceLayer

Dear All,
I could not find proper documentation on API Gateway aside from How_to_Work_with_SAP_Business_One_API_Gateway.pdf and About SAP Business One API Gateway, which are essentially the same content.
Aside from API Gateway is HANA only and offers reports as service, can anyone point out the main purpose of this Gateway and how is this gateway related to the ServiceLayer?
I assume we can login to Gateway and then access all the service in Service Layer?
Including our own API? If so, is there any documentation on how we can do this

Dear edy.simon,

The official words are that the API Gateway is specifically released for exporting Crystal Reports to PDF.

API Gateway Service will return you a Base64 encoded string for the designed Crystal Report so that it can be manually converted into PDF format.

I have doubts that you will be able to access all the services in Service Layer (for now) using API Gateway Service because the minimum scope is only support report API in initial version.

Any kind of reports we can call ?

In LoadAuthorizedCRList API it shows only 9 reports how do we call different different custom crystal reports.
