Huge Increase in Moving Price

Hi All,

I apologise for this question, I have searched and found a lot of information but I am struggling to understand/apply it to my scenario and come up with an explanation.

Below is a copy of MB51 results for material.

The moving price has exploded since moving stock from consignment at a lower price. I don't understand why moving the stock out of consignment at this price has caused the moving price to increase by almost 4 times when the variance of the 2 prices was far less.

Can anyone explain what has happened here please?

I am not seeing any screen shot of the moving average price neither the related document from where you saw the huge difference. When you say consignment - is it vendor consignment or customer consignment ? Please provide as much information as possible for better clarity. Also, did you check the change log for that material master which will show if at all someone changed manually ?

Reason behind change the moving average

    1) Need to check purchase order rate

    2) Need to check MIRO accounting effects specially GRIR account because at the time of booking MIRO may be user entered amount and this amount goes in to material cost.

    3) It is typo mistake happened some time like you have to enter rate per TON but by mistake entering rate per KGS - It is typo mistake but gives you a huge change.

After checking above all steps if you not seen any solutions then please first share required screenshots with detail information.

Do you have access to report of note 2198317 - Analysis report for moving average price changes: MBMAPCHANGES, else did you consider transaction MR51 and/or KBA 1506200 - Determine how Moving Average Price changed.

(Code 411 is Transfer of special stock to own stock, 412 should be a reversal movement, also there are many physical inventory movements on this material?)

I unfortunately don't have access to the above report.

We ended up with -63 in consignment stock. It looks like the 412 movement was completed to 0 the consignment stock.

The above results of MB51 is the entire history of this material.
