I need help comparing data....

I am using SAP Business Objects Enterprise XI. I am trying to compare two very similar data sets, about 10 objects each, from the same universe. If there is a match of serial number(object exists on each query) on the two queries, that is what I want displayed on the report. I only want report results if there is a match in serial number on query 1 and query 2. I have never used multiple queries...so I assume that is what needs to take place to do such a compare? Any help/guidance would be appreciated.
