How to create a "No approval" request type on GRC?

Hi all!

I need to configure a new request type that, when used, grants the access automatically, skipping any approval path.

How is this done? I've created the new type, also defined it in BRF+ with NOAPPROVAL trigger... But when I submit a test request, it keeps going for approval.

Any clues of what I could be missing?

Thank you!!!

Hi Ortino,

I assume you have validated your mapping of the BRF+ initiator rule ID to the Process Initiator.

Please maintain BRF+ trigger "NOAPPROVAL" in Rule Result Value under Step 2 of the MSMP workflow (make sure the value is correctly maintained). Then go to Step 6 and map this value to a path (defined in Step 5) with no stages assigned. Now when a request would be created with this request type, it will auto approve and the access will be provisioned.

Thanks,

Thank you Debashish, just read this one! It turned out I was looking at the wrong place and it ended up working the way I set it initially 🙂 thanks so much!!!

Hey

Map your rule result to a a pathway with no stages (no agents) and it will auto approve

Cheers

Thank you, Colleen! I did that too, but still... I wonder if there's any order of items I'm not respecting in the BRF+ table or what!

Anyway, thanks so much!

Hi Ortino Fernandes Julia - MOCC

the table is usually read sequentially. The first criteria met is the result. Perhaps you could simulate the scenario and see if BRF+ is getting the right result to send it down the pathway.
