RSRT Input Ready Message

Hello,

I have a Query in BW4HANA that I am trying to test through Transaction Code RSRT. I know the query is input ready for sure, as I have inserted the query into AO workbook and input data successfully. But RSRT is not showing Input ready message. I have noticed RSRT sometimes shows input ready message and sometimes it doesn't. How to display it consistently?

Hi Manish,

for RSRT the query is not input-ready, the toggle button (pencil symbol) to change the change/display mode is not visible. Generate the query again in RSRT and/or check the settings in the query designer. You will usually only see messages about the input-ready status if the system tries to open the query in change mode but for some reason (locks, load mode of a provider, ...) this is not possible.

Hi Manish,

if you talk about a message you miss you should note here the message class and number.

Whether a query is opened in display or change mode in RSRT BICS can be checked looking at the status of the toggle button where the display/change mode can be switched.

I am sorry, I am not sure I understand your reply. Sometimes, RSRT will have message that says Input ready or not. But sometimes, it just shows nothing. I have attached screenshot as an example. Please advise. thanks

Hi Manish,

in my experience RSRT always shows the correct status - so either the query is input ready or not.

Maybe the query is not makred as input read but the AO mask runs a macro tho change input status when the workbook is opened?

I would understand if RSRT shows Input ready or not, but in this case its not showing any message.
