Regarding MI client for SP14

Hi,

I have installed MI client for SP14 .

When I was working on SP9, I used to restart the pocket pc device whenever I install an application and also after data synchronization to display the data.

Should the client be restarted whenever I deploy an application and also to get display the data for data synchronization in SP14.

In case of pocket pc, resetting the device made the whole process look slow and cumbersome. Is there any work around

Hi Raja,

On installation on any new application, simply restart the MI client and not the client device. When the MI client is running a icon is displayed in the bottom, which on right clicking shows options to stop & start the client alongwith few others. You can use these options to start & stop the MI client. Restarting the MI client is used to update the MI registry.

Synchronization does not require restarting the client.

Kindly let me know if the problem persists with SP14.
