Hi all,
In preventive maintenance plan, when a call (PM preventive order) is completed, system calculates the 'actual variance' (in days) : see 'Maintenance Plan Schedule Calls' tab in maintenance plan.
How this 'actual variance' is calculated? it seems that it 'completion date' is compared with the 'planned start date' whereas it would make more sense (to me) to compare it with the 'planned finish date'...
Am i missing something?
Thanks,
Pete
Pete,
I'm not 100% sure if this is possible, but if it is, then it would need to done via user-exits or BADIs.
Have a look at BADI IPRM_MCP_UPD_CALLOBJ..

Hi Peter,
Thanks for reply/info. Not sure if my requirement was clear..I would like system to use the 'finish planned date' to compare with the 'completion date' (your 2nd attached pic) to calculate the actual variance. See below example:
-start planned/schedule date: 03 Aug
-finish planned date: 05 Aug (because task list indicates 2 days of work)
If order is TECO on 5 Aug, it makes sense to me that actual variance is zero (if compared with finish planned date).. and not an actual variance = 2days (if compared with start planned date)
Is it something that can be setup?
Thanks
Pete

Pete,
Its dependent on the customising settings in Set Maintenance Plan Categories:
So the variance is the planned date from the maintenance plan call, and either the TECO date (flag above OFF), or the date entered by the user at TECO (flag above ON, see image below).
