Sales tax calculation based on values

Dear Friends

We have a requirement in one of the LATAM countries where the tax is calculated at different rates based on value. For eg if the values is Peso 700 till Peso 10000, tax should be calculated at 10% and if the value is above Peso 10000 than the tax rate should be 12%

Does any one know how this can be handled in SD billing?

Many thanks in advance for your guidance

  • Thank you for visiting SAP Community to get answers to your questions. Since you're asking a question here for the first time, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with https://community.sap.com/resources/questions-and-answers (if you haven't already), as it provides tips for preparing questions that draw responses from our members. For example, you can outline what steps you took to find answers (and why they weren't helpful), share screenshots of what you've seen/done, make sure you've applied the appropriate tags, and use a more descriptive subject line. The more details you provide, the more likely it is that members will be able to assist you.

Should you wish, you can revise your question by selecting Actions, then Edit (although once someone answers your question, you'll lose the ability to edit the question -- but if that happens, you can leave more details in a comment).

    Hello Ranjani Guruswamy

I believe, you are referring to the Perception Tax in Peru where this is a legal requirement to print the tax value as a statistical value on the invoice output.

In one of my projects, we handled the same, using the scales by creating a new tax condition type in addition to MWST. The same has been defined clearly by Jyoti Prakash and we had used the same configuration.

You might also want to refer to the below WIKI Link on how scales are set up in SD Pricing to set up the same.
