Dear all,
I was wondering whether it is possible to customize Smart Insights in general... If I am having a chart (Sales revenues per country) and add Smart insights I want Smart insights to comment on the correlation of Main Product group and Country. But Smart insights goes directly on article level instead of main product group level. It makes sense that it goes on article level but I want to customize it, that it only goes on Main Product Group level. Is there any adjustment possible with regard to smart insights (Maybe with SAP Analytics designer)?
Thank you in advance
Best Regards
Tony
Hi t.philip28 ,
Smart Insights runs an algorithm to find most significant contributors i.e. dimensions or hierarchy levels that will have maximum impact on selected data point. So in your case, Article would have been ranked high as per algorithm than the Product Group and this is why you see Article in top 5 list.
However the good news is that we are working on the feature to provide customization for instances like this where you would be able to exclude an existing contributor to get the next one in the list. Please remember that at any point Top 5 will be shown as contributors because we want to limit user's focus to most significant insights. So in your example after the customization to ignore Article, you may or may not see the Product Group. It depends on at the rank at which Product Group stands per algorithm.
Just as a reminder Smart Insights is also dynamic and context sensitive so depending your data, you may find Product Group to be the top contributor in some other charts or after you may have data changes.
Please feel free to reach out again for any questions or details. And stay tune for this customization feature.
