SAP CF - UI5 module - connect to OData provisioning (Neo origin)

Hi everyone,

I have a scenario.

My team has set up a odata provisioning in Neo environment and the UI5 app is able to query data from it when deploying to Neo.

The authentication type is AppToAppSSO.

However, we have a new requirement to reuse the odata provisioning destination in CF and build a new UI5 app using that destination which deployed to CF.

We export the destination from Neo and import it into CF and add the destination to xs-app.json.

{
	"welcomeFile": "/test/index.html",
	"authenticationMethod": "route",
	"logout": {
		"logoutEndpoint": "/do/logout"
	},
	"routes": [{
		"source": "^/SAP_Gateway/(.*)$",
		"target": "$1",
		"authenticationType": "xsuaa",
		"destination": "SAP_Gateway",
		"csrfProtection": false
	},{
		"source": "^/test/(.*)$",
		"target": "$1",
		"localDir": "webapp"
	}]
}

However, the app is not able to get metadata of the odata service. Even though in the network, it shows 200.

And the preview is not the metadata

We have set up trust configuration between Neo and CF.

Has anyone been able to reuse the odata provisioning (from Neo) in CF?

Regards,

Tri

    Have you also configured a trust between your IAS and NEO/CF subaccount? Have you followed all steps from sap help? https://help.sap.com/viewer/65de2977205c403bbc107264b8eccf4b/Cloud/en-US/391e9ed92ff448e0b4bacac69f853516.html

    I was able to do the same in the other direction.

    • Thanks Wouter.

      It seems to be the right way to do.

      We have set up Create Trust Between the Subaccounts, but the destination configuration seems to be different. We use AppToAppSSO instead of OAuth2SAMLBearerAssertion.

      We will try with OAuth2SAMLBearerAssertion.
