Print Bom Document Item Category in PP-PI

Hi Sap experts,

I have a business requirement to print a document (PDF) upon the release of process order. I have made a test document with CV01N and included said document into the bill of material of the master recipe as a D item category.

We already use tcode COPI to print out our process order but only the materials with item category T or L is displayed on the print out. The item category D doesn't seem to be allowed in process order material list.

I would like to know what I'm missing to trigger the print out of the pdf withing my document item in the bom, if that makes sens.

I have seen this in PP but not in PP-PI.

If not possible this way, we've also activate the Generic Object Service in the master recipe and stored the PDF that way.

I would need it to be imported automatically into the process order upon it's creation and then printed as well.

Bottom line is whether the pdf is stored in the bom, master recipe or even material master. I need it to print out with the rest of my process order. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
