MP38 Forecasting rerun issue for material

Hi All,

I am testing forecasting ,When I run Forecast for new material for which forecast setting is done first time then it runs and shows results of forecast value correctly but when I rerun it for same material then it doesnt calculate values again.

Unless I put X or M in initialisation in control data, then I can run it again but then this field gets automatically cleared out in material master.

Does this means that once I run forecast for material then rerun should be done for same material after mentioned forecast period only ? or I have to insert this above field manually if I want to run forecast again within the period.

Hello Harshal,

This field should be updated only when you change the forecast parameters.

If you enter X, it indicates that the forecast must be loaded again with the initial calculations for the current period or the next period. The "M" is similar but allows the basic value and MAD (for example) to be updated manually, that is, the calculations are based on the values entered by you and not calculated by the system.
