Fields in forecasting view explanation

Hi ,

I am trying to setup forecasting methods for testing, but not able to understand control data fields.Can anyone please share any info on these with example how they work and effect calcutions.

    Hi - I think this blog https://blogs.sap.com/2014/04/10/safety-stock-calculation/ under 4. Forecasting, does a good job and gives great context.

    The following link from SAP help talks about the parameters involved in the forecast. You will also find here references to the formulas used to calculate the MAD and for each one of the forecast models:
