BW Query on a CDS View

Dear All,

We have created a BW Query on top of a CDS View, which in turn is based on a native HANA table.

Our issue is that if the table and CDS View is enhanced with new fields for example, the BW Query doesn't pick/reflect the underlying changes, unless we create a copy of this query on the same CDS View.

Could you please guide if there is a way to automatically refresh a BW Query when the underlying CDS view / table changes?

I dont think there is any way to automatically add the columns to your BW report after you enhance your source objects. BW query wont know if you need this enhanced column as KF/Attributes - Columns or row/selections/filters etc. But I am keen to see if there are other thoughts around this

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Abhishek. Actually, by automatic refresh in BW Query I meant that I should at least be able to see the enhanced columns in the info-provider (enhanced CDS view), from where I could then manually pick the new columns and configure the way I want to in the query. Look forward to more feedback from others.
