We want to use the WBS Element API (https://api.sap.com/api/CO_PSWBSELEMENT_MASTER_DATA_RE/overview/?section=Specifications) to get all the WBS elements from S/4HANA Cloud to an external system. Per WBS elements, we would like to have the system status, in order to see whether the WBS element is open for posting. The system status is not available in the standard API, is this something we can add?
you won't be able to alter the existing SAP API, but you should be able to create your own. For instance you can define a custom CDS view and expose it as OData service as external API.
