Hi community, the use cases would be two:
1. In a planning model already created and in use, how can new locations be added to those already existing previously with their coordinates and/or the relationship of country, region and sub.region.
I know how to do it by building the model from scratch in the data wrangling panel, but in an already consolidated model by adding lines with latitude and longitude data, does the sysem treat these data correctly to have the representation in the geomaps of the stories?
2. Creating a blank model, in which we add dimensions, account, etc, how do we configure the geodata for a location dimension that we can see later in bubbles or coroplets in the geomaps?
Thank in advance for your interest!
Pablo
Hi Pablo,
We can setup a new Model from scratch using latitude and longitude and all the measures clearly defined using files or queries. I have done using a XSODATA on a HANA Calculation View and the model can be refreshed as you would refresh normal models from data management.
Adding a new Location ( Geo ) Dimension to existing Model I have not been able to achieve.
Good luck
Afshin

Hi Pablo,
I don't think this is currently possible .
I tried all sort of permutations and combinations just a couple of days ago with no success. This using the import mode.
Please let the wider community know if you find a solution.

Thanks Afshin for your quick response!
I assume you mean that neither of the above cases are possible at this time. So by setting up a blank model from scratch without imported files or queries, do we understand that we cannot set up geodata right?
Of course any progress I make I'll share here in this same topic.
Thanks again for your comment,
Pablo
