Dear Expert,
We have a requirement where we want to use a UD Selected Set created for a default Plant (0001) to be used across different Plants (around 50 plants)? How to achieve this requirement?
You can't. By definition the selected set is plant level.
The only way to come close to this is as follows:
1 - in the plant level config for inspection types turn off "selected set in own plant"
2 - define only ONE selected set.
Doing step 1 basically ensures that you see all selected sets in all plants when you make the UD.
Step 2 requies global agreement which it sounds like you have. I usually find it is not possible for one reason or another in most companies to have everyone work from the same selected set.
You'll also need to look at your security roles and see what impact is there. If a lot of your roles have plant limitations in them, you might have to rebuild some of them for a user to use a selected set in another plant.
The other option I believe might be possible is to have a selected set in a master data plant, but then maybe through an ALE process or batch job, you automatically copy any changes in the master data plant selected set out to the selected sets at the plant level.

If there are plant-specific entries for the inspection type in Customizing under Quality Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Settings at Plant Level in subfolder Inspection Type-Specific Settings for a Plant, these settings will overrule the settings you made for the inspection type.

Hello,
Please also check setting 'Selected set in the same plant' (V_TQ30-KZVEWERKS). By untick this indicator, you can use usage decisions from the selected sets from all that plant.
But while selecting the usage decision (UD) code, some entries are displayed more times.
Please go to below customizing through path: Transaction code QCC0 Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Maintain Inspection Types Go to the inspection type of the lot.
