Retention policy not available in Backup configuration in HANA cockpit 2.0

Hi,

I've registered a HANA 1.0 SPS12 on HANA cockpit 2.0 SP12 and would like to configure Backup plan with Retention policy.

But upon checking the Backup configuration, only Log settings and Data backup settings are available.

Please note database scheduler is enabled and able to create backup schedules successfully. Just missing the retention settings.

Hi Rob,

My apologies. I just missed that you have HANA 1.0 .

The 'Retention Policy' feature came in HANA 2.0 SP 03 onwards and works perfectly fine when connected to HANA COCKPIT 2.0 SP >= 07 (Reference Here ) .

Even though COCKPIT 2.0 connects with HANA 1.0 ,but this feature is not available in HANA 1.0

With HANA 2.0 , you should see the option as here (Check after 5:20)

Hi Sumit,

There's no Manage Database backups also under Database Administration. Please refer below screenshots.

Also note, already added privileges sap.hana.backup.roles::Operator, sap.hana.backup.roles::Administrator, sap.hana.backup.roles::Scheduler to SYSTEM.

Hi,

In the HANA cockpit, chose the database: Database Administration --> Manage Database backups --> Configure Backups --> Retention Policy --> Delete Backup Generations Automatically
